How Does it Work?
Will it Fit on my Bike?
The total additional added weight is about 402 grams plus the weight of the tank. Tanks range in weight from 295 grams for a 4 ounce tank up to 593 grams for a 12 ounce. If your planning on using adaptrac on thin tires you can use the 4 ounce tank, but remember the larger tanks work best on fat tire bikes as they have more air volume.

The most common place to get a refill on CO2 tanks is your local paintball shop. You do have the option of buying a large CO2 tank and refilling your tanks at home. The large tanks can be filled at various places including welding shops.
How do I refill my CO2 Tanks?
Two switches are mounted to the bikes handlebars, each one can be used to increase or decrease the pressure in the front or rear tires. When the switches are pressed down CO2 is allowed to flow into your tires from a canister mounted on your bike frame. The same canisters are commonly used with paintball markers, and come in various sizes ranging from 4-20oz. A hose runs from this canister along the bikes frame into each wheels axle. Then the CO2 gas enters custom adaptrac hubs. These hubs have internal rotary seals which prevent the CO2 from leaking out of the hub while it spins. A thin hose runs from the hub to the rim of the wheel and allows CO2 to be added to the tire at any point in the wheels rotation.
The adaptrac front hub will work with any standard 15mm thru axle fork. The rear hub is a 12 x 142 hub that can be fitted with step-down axles for virtually any size. We also have extended hubs for use on fatbikes. If you have any questions regarding compatibility we encourage you to ask. Just email us at:
